Congratulations Jason!

Our Employee of the Month is Jason Hughes from Nature’s Select.

Jason began working with Nature’s Select in July of 2018. Before coming here he attended music school at UNCG. After leaving there, he began attending Central Carolina Community College in the Sustainable Agriculture program. While there he worked at Larry Newlin’s Peaceful River Farm. Using his knowledge from both school and the Farm, he began growing and selling produce at Clawhammer Farm while also working part-time at Fifth Season Gardening in Greensboro.

With all of Jason’s invaluable qualities and knowledge it is no doubt he is an integral part of the Select team. He has taken on every challenge we have placed before him and prevailed with flying colors. Jason has built a relationship with his customers and team centered around honesty and respect. After only 2 years of being with the company he has stepped up and begun to mentor employees on how to be successful within this industry.

We look forward to Jason’s continuing development of technical and interpersonal skills that will lead to a long and successful career. When not working with plants he likes to play drums and banjo with his Old-Time String Band, The Hot House Cucumbers.
