Milton Shaw
I graduated from Western Carolina University with a BS in Applied Science and Technology. I worked in the Hotel Restaurant Industry for 13 years. I have been with New Garden for 15 years.
I began with New Garden on the Garden Enhancement Teams. As my knowledge of this industry grew. I became a Certified Plant Professional, then on to a Horticultural Route Foreman and then a Full Service Account Manager supervising other team members and managing 80 + properties and relationships.
Currently I am one of the first points of contact for our customers. I am involved in Job Costing, Accounts Receivable, answering customers questions and routing the most accurate and up to date information to our leaders so that we are able to ensure we are delivering value. I also work to improve our internal procedures.
I am passionate about our relationships. Some of the relationships I have built began many years ago when I was on the front line, creating and maintaining inspiring back drops for our customers. This experience allows me the ability to understand and empathize with situations that arise. I am then able to get the problem to the most appropriate team member who can quickly solve the problem.
Outside of my time with New Garden I enjoy cooking, hiking with my dogs, horseback riding and gardening.
