Question: Can you keep the foil on Poinsettias?
Should you remove the foil wrappings around the potted poinsettia when using the plants for holiday decoration?

It depends on how heavy a hand you have when you water them. The foil acts like a saucer holding excess water and keeping the soil/roots too wet-poinsettias do NOT like that. If you water only enough to wet the soil without too much extra you can leave the foil on with no issues. If you like the foil and are worried about it holding too much water, simply poke a few small holes in the bottom and let any excess drain out each time you water. That way you can enjoy the pretty wrapping through the season and keep your poinsettia happy.
