If there ever was a time to use the phrase “Exceeded Expectations” the work done by New Garden is the time and place to shout it out to the Heavens. I had a mud pit of a back yard which needed grading and pavers set on places that puddled. And that was before any plantings could be discussed. I knew I had made the right decision when I saw the quality of the work of things that would not be actually seen. The yard will drain in a monsoon season.

They listened to my needs and improved on my ideas in every instance with a simple and beautiful design. Importantly, there was not an underpinning of go for the most expensive route possible. In one instance the specks called for imitation rock for a small stone fence and I was the one who had to ask for an up-grade to real stone. I am from New England and the stone fence could have been stolen from those fields. The plants were exactly the visual presentation that I wanted. It is as if they could read my mind. Each person on the job clearly took pride in their craft and took their time to do it, not just right but beautifully. The whole lot were artists and artisans.

There was one area where there was a issue caused by them. When I brought this to their attention there was no reluctance or attempt at avoidance, no discomfort. It was a clear and simple focus on how to resolve the problem while they took the financial responsibility. That is hard to come by.
